LaserCusing brings new possibilities to mould revision.

The example shown is the revision of a 48-cavity preform mould. Neckrings of these tools tend to loose thier tensioned fitting on the opposite located sliders (with threading). Additive welding and coatings are used to extend lifetime. The results however are often compromized.

Now with LaserCusing it is possible to build up a new neckring on an insert wich can be grinded to the right dimension. Because our CL50/1.2709 material has twice the strength of the 1.2344 base (!), you don't have to worry about loss of dimension or cracking under closingforce.

The cost for a revision of a typical 48-cavity preform mould can be estimated at 17-20K Euro. You only need to send us the tool inserts and we'll do the the job.
